Teen Skills Building

Alongside the TMC team of camp counselors, teens will have the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to become a successful future TMC camp counselor by assisting with teaching, coordinating, and carrying out activities and guiding young campers in their summer camp experience.
A Lifetime of Learning

Designed to teach real-world responsibility and prepare teens and young adults for their first job, the Junior Counselor Camp offers your child a week of “on-the-job” learning. After completing a half-day training, junior counselors will be assigned to an employee who they’ll assist throughout the week. From helping younger kids with games and projects, to preparing activities, and cleaning up around Kid’s Club, this is a perfect opportunity to teach your child real-world responsibilities.

Because of the nature of this program, it is only offered as a full-day, week-long program.  This allows junior counselors to build relationships with both their staff mentor and their younger campers.
