Mike is a PGA & LPGA Tour Performance Coach and a Class A Canadian PGA Member, who’s professional playing and coaching experience spans over 20 years. His expertise is performance coaching and player development in all areas including putting, short game, and full swing. For the past 15 years he has worked alongside, and learned from, some of the brightest minds in sports technology, biomechanics, and human performance. This experience led him to work with top ranked junior golfers, D1 college programs, and some of the best players in the world on the PGA, LPGA, LIV, and Champions Tours.


Charlotte was born and raised in San Diego and moved to the Sacramento area with her husband Mike in 2020. She considers herself to be an athlete, not just a golfer. Tennis was her first sport at the age of 5 and was a multi-sport athlete all the way through her High School career. After her success as a junior golfer, she received a full-scholarship to play on the UCLA Women’s Golf Team. In 2005, she turned Professional and played on the LPGA Tour from 2007-2009. She still has a strong passion to compete professionally and enjoys supporting athletes in their golfing journey!


Jeremy Penkofski is a dedicated Golf Teaching Professional with 11 years seasonal full time experience at The Golf Academy at Old Greenwood, and 35 years in the golf industry. Jeremy has a passion for helping players of all skill levels and age improve their performance and enjoyment of the game. With a strong foundation in swing mechanics, short game development, course navigation, and mental strategy, Jeremy delivers clear, structured instruction tailored to each individual golfer’s goals. Whether working with beginners learning the fundamentals or experienced golfers striving for competitive improvement, Jeremy is committed to fostering growth, discipline, and a lifelong appreciation for the game of golf.


The Golf Academy provides young athletes with expert instruction designed to build confidence and technical skill. Through immersive four-day camps and flexible weekly sessions, golfers ages 7 to 12 receive personalized coaching suited to their individual experience levels.
Junior Golf 4-Day Camp
No matter your child's ability level, the Golf Academy has the perfect camp to help 7-12 year olds excel both on and off the golf course. Four-day long (half-day) camps will help your child learn new skills and improve technique. To ensure optimal learning conditions, camps are limited to a 5:1 junior-to-instructor ratio. Camps will include daily hands-on instruction, use of advanced teaching technology, updates on your child's progress, and an awards ceremony.
Junior Sessions
Whether your child is just starting, an accomplished player or somewhere in between, junior sessions are a fun way to learn the game with other junior golfers. Offered as convenient 1-hour classes on weekdays and extended 1.5 hour classes on weekends, these lessons focus on mastery of the fundamentals of movement and development of sport skills. Sign-up for just one or come all summer long!
