From the elevated tees of this 475-yard opening par four, favor the left-center of the fairway, allowing for a more receptive shot to a green protected by front right bunkers.
The hole bends slightly to the right. To take full advantage, you want to drive down the right side of the fairway, which gives you a better angle into the landing zones and for the next shots.
An accurate approach to this medium length par three will be necessary as the green is guarded by a deep natural swale and abyssal bunkers short and a sloping bunker long. The left side of the green is a safe target.
Don’t be deceived by the short length of this par four. Accuracy off the tee is essential to find this narrow fairway. You will be faced with a short uphill second shot to a narrow green protected by deep pot bunkers in front.
This long par four offers a generous landing area guarded on the right by fairway bunkers. The green is most receptive to shots from the right side of the fairway.
A true risk/reward hole, this reachable par five demands a tee shot down the middle, as a long bunker parallels the left side of the fairway and a deep grassy rough will engulf errant shots hit right. A large lake protects the front and left sides of the green emphasizing an accurate approach.
This 'Redan'-style green abuts a lake on the left, requiring shots to be played in from the front right, allowing the contours to feed the ball toward back-left pin positions.
One of the shortest of the par fours may entice the longest of hitters to go for the small, well-guarded green off the tee. A more conservative, well-played tee shot between the six fairway bunkers will yield a short but delicate approach.
Tee shots on this long up-hill par four should favor the left side of the fairway. A pair of pine trees in the right center of the fairway will interfere with approach shots from errant tee shots hit to the right. Shots hit into the right of the green make getting up and down difficult.
Accuracy will be at a premium on this long par five that is protected by water from tee to green. A calculated lay-up to the right side of the fairway will be required to negotiate the pond short and left of the green.
The shortest of the par fours, full of danger with water right and fairway bunkers left, may tempt long hitters a chance at the green. The safe play is away from the water to the wide part of the fairway, offering a hazard-free, short approach.
This picturesque par five slices through pine trees along a rolling ridge, requiring a tee shot that favors the left side of the fairway to have any chance of reaching the green in two. The green, which is nestled among the pines, is most easily approached from the left, although thick rough and well-placed bunkers readily gather even the slightest mis-hit.
The longest of the par fours will reward a bold tee shot that carries the bunkers on the left. Players will find obstructed views of the green, although approach shots hit short will carom forward to safety.
A long par four of 472 yards with a generous landing area. Approaching the green from the left side of the fairway will help take the lake out of play that protects the right side of the green.
On this long par three, favor the right side of the green to avoid the water guarding the entire left side of the hole. Shots played too far right or too long of the green will be faced with a difficult recovery from stout bunkers or thick rough.
This scenic par four will demand a precision tee shot to a landing area surrounded by large pines and bunkers. Approach this green, which overlooks both Northstar California and the Truckee River, from the left side of the fairway, though proper club selection is critical to avoid bunkers in front and back of the green.
The safe play to this long par three will be to the front left portion of the green taking the bluff and the hazards to the right out of play. A long tee shot is likely to find the mammoth bunker behind the front-to-back sloping green.
This finishing par four plays gently uphill from tee to green and will take two solid shots to reach a green nestled into the hillside and protected by several deep and steep-faced bunkers.
